2024 EMSL User Meeting: Atmospheric Processing of Terrestrial, Coastal, and Anthropogenic Aerosols

October 8–10, 2024 (Tuesday–Thursday)
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and online

Join us for the 2024 EMSL User Meeting focusing on “Atmospheric Processing of Terrestrial, Coastal, and Anthropogenic Aerosols.”

This engaging, three-day meeting includes keynote speakers, contributor talks, flash talks, tutorials, and poster sessions encompassing the following topics:

  • Aerosol interactions with terrestrial and coastal biogeochemistry and human systems
  • Atmospheric aerosol processes
(including emissions, atmospheric aging, cloud condensation nuclei/ice nucleating particles activation, and heterogeneous chemistry processes)
  • Opportunities for joint EMSL-ARM aerosol research, with a focus on the Southeast U.S. Bankhead National Forest site

REGISTRATION COMING SOON!

Abstraction submission

The 2024 EMSL User Meeting is accepting abstracts for posters and contributed talks that focus on the topics mentioned above.

Deadline to submit abstracts | August 2, 2024
Submit an abstract

Abstracts that don't neatly align with these research topics will also be considered.
* Note that submitting an abstract does not register you for the meeting. You must also complete the registration form.

The EMSL User Meeting will include presentations on available EMSL capabilities for answering atmospheric research questions.

Why attend

  • Learn about impactful research using approaches and capabilities offered through EMSL.
  • Participate in scientific dialogs to identify scientific challenges that can be uniquely addressed using capabilities available at national user facilities.
  • Expose post-graduate and graduate students to the research environment of a national user facility.

Who should attend

This meeting is open to EMSL users and non-users alike (you do not have to be a current EMSL user to attend). Researchers around the world from academia, industry, and government research laboratories are invited to attend.

About EMSL

The Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) is a Department of Energy, Office of Science user facility focusing on fundamental biological, environmental, and computational research. EMSL collaborates on projects with researchers from academia, other government laboratories, and industry.

Scientists worldwide can partner with EMSL to use world-class laboratory space, expertise, and equipment for free if their research proposal is accepted through a competitive, peer-review process. Opportunities to work with EMSL are available throughout the year.
