For example, you are a foreign-national staff member doing work at PNNL.
Network passwords for general computer access are obtained through the online Computer Access Request System (CARS) and are automatically generated for employees. You should already have a network password. If not, see your administrator. Once you have your network password, use the online Integrated Operations System (IOPS) to request access to the specific machine at EMSL you wish to use (such as the IBM SP or a workstation). This machine must already be listed on your Foreign National Visitor's Access form (FNVA). If access is granted, within a week you will be told where to pick up your Unix password. About the same time you may receive further information from EMSL, depending on the computers you will be using.
ALL users should read the Terms & Conditions for using the computer resources at EMSL.
ALL employees must be current on their online Unclassified Cyber Security Awareness Training within 14 days of receiving a system password or the password will be cancelled.
Your administrator should be able to assist you if you have any questions about getting an account.
