Chinook has returned from the scheduled down time. The batch queue limits have been changed as an attempt to improve throughput, backfill, and decrease wait time for commonly run job sizes. This will be discussed at our Quarterly Conference Call Wednesday, Oct. 14th at 10:15 PDT. All Chinook users were sent instructions for joining in. Here are the new queue limits which will be added to the Web page documentation later this week.
Highest Priority: Extra Large Queue 256-1100 nodes, maximum of 12 hours,
High Priority: Large Queue 128-255 nodes, maximum of 24 hours,
Normal Priority: Medium Queue 8-127 nodes, maximum of 48 hours,
Normal Priority: Long Queue 2-16 nodes, maximum of 96 hours,
Low Priority (backfill): Small Queue 2-8 nodes, maximum of 48 hours,
Interactive Queue: 1-4 nodes, maximum of 30 minutes.
These may be adjusted based on feedback from the Conference Call.

Chinook experienced problems with its Infiniband fabric last night around
21:00 hours PDT. That caused the machine to be down until this afternoon.
While the vendor and their subcontractors are still investigating the root cause of the outage, the system has been restored to working order and it is running jobs. The login nodes are available. If your job was running when the machine crashed you will need to resubmit it.
