Analytical: Chromatograph: Ion

This ion chromatography capability comprises two Dionex DX-500 modular chromatography systems that can be configured to conduct fully automated analysis of anions, organic acids, inorganic cations, ammonium, amines, and metals.

The systems feature quaternary gradient pumps; autosamplers; thermostated column compartments; and conductivity, electrochemical, and ultraviolet detectors. The systems are also equipped with online eluent generators that eliminate the preparation of common eluents used in ion analysis. A wide variety of columns are available that can be optimized for specific applications.

These systems are part of EMSL's suited of Subsurface Flow and Transport analytic capabilities used for sample preparation and analysis. Researchers may use these systems independently for their research.
