I can't imagine there could be any complaint about using the proper bibliographic citation. The journal's style might abbreviate the author list with "et al." at some point, according to the house style, but the same rules should apply to every citation in that respect. If someone wants to truncate the actual citation beyond this, I'd publish elsewhere. If you're referring to an acknowledgement in the body of a paper (typically at the very end), I think it is customary to having something brief, roughly "some of these results were obtained with NWChem from PNNL", rather than the complete bibliographic citation. I think the User Agreement actually had verbiage to for this, but I don't have a copy handy. -- David E.
