Sixth International Symposium—Dedicated to advances in biological, medical and environmental applications of Proton Induced X-Ray Emission

2nd Call for Papers

Scope

The 6th International Symposium on BioPIXE (BioPIXE 6) will be held at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL), a U.S. Department of Energy national scientific user facility located at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington, USA, on June 16-20, 2008.

BioPIXE 6 is an international conference co-sponsored by the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory, University of California at Davis, and Pacific Northwest Division of the AVS: The Science and Technology Society. Conference participants will discuss advances in biological, medical and environmental applications of proton-induced X-ray emission (PIXE).

Topics will include, but are not limited to, application of PIXE in biological, medical, and environmental related fields. A goal of this symposium is to promote interaction among all participants from industry, government, and university laboratories. Both invited and contributed papers in the form of oral and poster presentations will be given at the conference.
