Directions to PNNL from the Tri-Cities Airport
To get to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) from the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, exit south from the airport parking area until you reach Interstate 182, then travel west toward Richland. The drive is approximately 20 minutes.
If you would like to travel through town on your way to the Hanford Site and PNNL, take the George Washington Way exit (Exit 5B) immediately after crossing the Columbia River. Continue north on George Washington Way for several miles, then turn left onto Battelle Blvd.
If you wish to avoid traffic in the city, take the Wellsian Way/Vantage Highway 240 (Exit 4) onto the Bypass Highway. This highway eventually becomes Stevens Drive that heads toward the Hanford Site. Continue on Stevens Drive, then take a right onto Battelle Blvd.
From Battelle Blvd, turn North onto Q Ave. The Guest House at PNNL will be on your right. EMSL is further down on your left. EMSL is the largest brick building - look for the 4 white pillars, which indicate the main entrance to the building. Plenty of parking is available in the south parking lot near the main entrance. Parking at EMSL and other PNNL buildings is free of charge and does not require a permit.

Recreation

Mount Rainier National Park, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Columbia Gorge National Scenic area, and Grand Coulee Dam are within two hours driving distance. The Columbia, Snake, and Yakima Rivers meet at the Tri-Cities, so water sports and fishing opportunities abound. The Columbia Valley Winery Association is comprised of numerous wineries throughout the area, which are open daily.
