NWChem Support
New Users
If you are a new user, these are the steps you need to follow to obtain NWChem.
Please Note: In order to obtain NWChem, you must be a permanent faculty or staff member of your facility or institution. We CANNOT accept User Agreements from students or post docs.
- Submit a request via the EMSL User Portal. First-time users will be directed to create a new User Account and password.
- Select Software Agreement from the drop-down menu on the Usage Type tab, click the button "Register for New Software", and fill out the form.
- Electronically "sign" the EMSL Software User Agreement by clicking the "I Agree" button on the User Portal home page. Once you have electronically agreed to the EMSL Software User Agreement, your request will be routed for review and approval. This review may take a couple of days, but you will receive notification of the results via email as soon as it has been completed.
- If your request is approved, you will be directed to the EMSL User Portal to download the NWChem software using the link on the Usage Type tab.
Returning Users
If you have already signed the EMSL Software User Agreement, please use the following steps to obtain the download information for NWChem.
- Log in to the EMSL User Portal using the same email address you provided with your original request. If your email address has changed from the last time you requested software, please contact the User Support Office at emsl@pnl.gov to have your information updated. Your password will remain the same.
- If you have forgotten your password or do not have one, simply click on the link "Need a Password", and a temporary password will be emailed to you.
- Once you are logged in, click on the Usage Type tab, and follow the link to download NWChem.
